Welcome to our newly expanded Website!

This website will introduce you to one of the most exciting programs available for high school students.  It formerly reported information for only the Phoenix Metro High School Bowling program.  Now it's statewide!

Did you know. . .

Bowling is the fastest growing high school sport in the country!

It is, according to the National Federation of High School Associations Participation Survey.   Bowling has consistently added schools, programs and varsity level states since 2001.

Bowling is unlike any other high school sport—everyone can participate!

High school athletics teach students discipline, teamwork and dedication, while providing them with structured, supervised activities.  High School bowling programs offer these benefits to students who are not currently participating in high school athletics, as well as offering them a sport they can compete in for a lifetime.

High School Bowling. . .

  • Promotes higher grades and lower dropout rates
  • Offers students a safe, clean supervised, alcohol and tobacco-free environment
  • Has no age, size strength or gender limitations
  • Provides an option for schools seeking Title IX compliance
  • Doesn’t compete for the same athletes as other varsity sports
  • Offers another sport to add to a high school athletic program
  • Has minimal start- up expense
  • Is an excellent non-contact sport
  • Gives youth additional opportunities to compete, earn high school varsity letters and college scholarships

Isn’t it time your school joined AZ High School Bowling competition?

"We are very excited about the addition of bowling as a sponsored sport in our association.  It is a great sport and we are seeing many students participating who are not participating in other sports."

Executive Director--Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association
